We’ve combined the performance of our world-renowned, professional dance floors with compact portability. All our dance mats are made from professional studio-grade dance floors; cut to size to give you a practice mat you can use at home. Ideally suited for use on laminate, solid wood and many other smooth, hard floors (see Q&A below for information about usage on carpet). Always ensure your practice mat is laid out flat and fully secured before each use. All kits come complete with one roll of dance floor tape (50mm x 33m) to secure the mat in place.
We use the same professional dance floor you'll find in hundreds of fully-fitted professional dance studios worldwide. We've cut it down to size to make the perfect practice mat to use at home.
Specifically designed for Tap and Irish Dance, this practice mat offers superb sound from every step. Furthermore, you can expect long-term durability and longevity, even for advanced adult users.
This is our best all-in-one practice mat. Its durable construction and professional dance surface allow you to get a whole lot of dance out of one floor. However, if you're regularly performing ballet, we recommend our Foam Sprung Ballet Floor as an additional option.
Neatly store away and help protect your new practice mat with our heavy-duty travel bag. Included with all 2x1 My Dance Mat Kits.
Q: Can practice mats be used on Carpet?
A: Although not specifically designed for it, we have many customers who do use our Dance Floors and Dance Mats on short-pile carpets and have been really pleased. It is important to make sure the dance mat is secure (a 33m roll of dance floor tape is supplied with each floor), to prevent the floor from slipping or sliding and remains flat.
Q: Does using it on carpet affect the sound for tap?
A: The sound from this floor is superb. There is a slight reduction in the depth of sound when laid over a carpet, but many performers have been over the moon.
Q: Dance floor vs practice mat - What's the difference?
A: There's no difference at all between our dance floors and practice mats, only their size. A practice mat is simply a large dance floor that's been cut down to size. It's exactly the same material we use in fully-fitted professional dance studios.
Q: Does this floor come in bigger sizes?A: Yes, all our dance floors are cut from jumbo rolls which are up to 20m long. As you can imagine, they get heavier the bigger they get, so we recommend calling us on 01480 469026 to discuss.
I only wish I found this earlier in lock down! As I could have had more room than falling off my tap board all the time
Tap Dance Mat
So convenient and I use it so much - not too heavy to transport and easy to pack up and unpack
Enduring 3 lockdowns with 2 championship irish dancers has been tough! After having purchased a 1m x 2m floor of the same make and being extremely pleased with the quality, durability and sound of the flooring, we decided to purchase this 2mx 2m to triple the floor space. We are so glad we did! The delivery was speedy and packaging in great condition on arrival. Thank you for great service. The children are enjoying the extra room to practice very much!
This item was brilliant and the quick delivery was extremely efficient. Great customer service I will definitely recommend

It's excellent - I use it for online tap classes, and the feel and sound are very good. It's 2 square meters so I have enough room to move around, and the floor underneath is well protected.
