You can roll out your dance floor whenever you need it. It lays flat almost instantly from the roll. Similarly, it's just as easy to roll up and store when not in use. Our dance floors and dance mats are ideal for use on laminate, solid wood and many other smooth, hard floors (see Q&A below for information about use on carpet). Always ensure the floor is laid out flat and fully secured before each use.

FAQ's

Q: Can dance floors be used on carpet?

A: Although not specifically designed for it, we have many customers who do use our Dance Floors and Dance Mats on short-pile carpets and have been really pleased. It is important to make sure the dance mat is secure (a 33m roll of dance floor tape is supplied with each floor), to prevent the floor from slipping or sliding and remains flat.

Q: Dance floor vs dance mat - What's the difference?

A: There's no difference at all between our dance floors and dance mats, only their size. A dance mat is simply a large dance floor that's been cut down to size. It's exactly the same material we use in fully-fitted professional dance studios.

Q: Can this dance floor be used for tap?

A: For heavy/regular tap dance use, we would suggest a Tap-specific floor like https://www.gaffatape.com/home-dance-floor-tap-irish-dance/ However, for multi-purpose use, including tap, this floor is a very good all-rounder. You don’t quite get the same noise from the tap shoe as you would on the tap-specific floor, but it’s still a popular choice. As with all our dance floors, we recommend making sure there are no loose screws on the shoe, as that’s often what does the damage to the floors.

Q: Does this floor come in bigger sizes?

A: Yes, all our dance floors are cut from jumbo rolls which are up to 20m long. As you can imagine, they get heavier the bigger they get, so we recommend calling us on 01480 469026 to discuss.

Customer service is something which seems to be suffering, but not here. They are superb! The flooring is just beautiful, we ordered the 2m x 2m piece. I was pleased to stumble across this great company. Previously I had been looking for dance floor to use at home. It proves to be rather costly even for a small amount so I had all but given up. So I was delighted when I came across the Harmony floor. Initially I purchased a small piece measuring 2m x 1m as I was unfamiliar with the brand and company. It arrived just a few days later, I was delighted to see it was a really great piece of equipment. Packaged in a substantial tube, and equiped with a detachable carrying strap, this piece of flooring is easily portable. It was perfect for use at home, but also portable enough to take to other venues to give the perfect floor for practice when a studio isn't available. It made such a difference to my Son (who is recovering from a long term injury) that I immediately went back online and ordered a second piece of Harmony flooring in the larger size of 2m x 2m (purchasing both pieces) for well under the price of other leading brands. The efficiency of service is very impressive, with the flooring arriving the following day! It is great quality, and was perfect for setting up a great home studio for both dance and rehabilitation at a really great price. I would happily recommend it to both parents of dancers and professionals. My children went from saying they didn't need any flooring to saying, could they have a bigger piece, it made a huge difference.
